Eleven years after the birth of this band from Colombia, their first album was released with the title The Return of the Ancient Gods. In it, Guahaihoque mix Black Metal with South American folk played with pre-columbian wind instruments. Not the best band in the world but anyway quite interesting, I think.

David Eugene Edwards, founder of 16 Horsepower, (band that also worth listening, at least their amazing cover of Bad Moon Rising by Creedence) started in 2002 is own group, Woven Hand. This song is the result, I don't say this really often but it's, by far, the best stuff I've heard in this whole year.

Swallow the Sun - Hope

I heard Swallow the Sun for the first time like five years ago, and they became instantly one of my favourites Death Doom bands. Since then their albums are becoming better and better, with not a single disappointing or even boring song. This one is the first from the 2007 album called Hope, in my view a truly masterpiece. A wild viking metal band appeared! These germans came out from nowhere in 2005 with an awesome album called Turis Fratyr, plenty of songs full of folky melodies, but really powerful anyway, and soon this release became one of my favourites of that year. Now it's a quite popular band, so probably Viking Metal fans will already know this... but if not, enjoy!

Today I'm going to show you a classical guitar piece, Capricho Árabe (Arabic Caprice) composed by Francisco Tárrega, one of the most reputated melodists ever. It's playe by the uruguayan guitarrist Eduardo Baranzano, and it's, by far, my favourite interpretation of this song. I hope you enjoy it!

Something happened with the mind of the members of this canadian band between 1999 and 2003, cause while preparing the release of their second work, Utopia, they all became completely crazy. And they still are, this song from their second full-length, In A Flesh Aquarium, proves. This album fucked my mind years ago, so beware with yours.
